This vase began being thrown on the wheel in natural clay, with the top opening added to with hand built coiling to create an organic finish. The dappled markings have been carefully carved into the clay at leather hard stage. The ice crystal glaze highlights the carved areas beautifully. It measures height-14cm bottom-7cm, opening 6cm. This vase has a couple of tiny hairline cracks in the base, but the don’t go all the way through, so it is still watertight and useable. This slight defect is reflected in the price of the item.
