This platter was hand built on with white stoneware clay. Once leather hard, layers of coloured slip have been painted on to create the background and design. Areas are then carved away to add detail to the tropical blooms *sgraffito design. The piece has been glazed with clear gloss to preserve the sgraffito carving and colour.
The piece measures: Height-11cm, bottom-9.5cm, opening-36cm
